At the last Zoning Board meeting, Chairperson Gary Porter did a great job listening to every citizen that had any input.During the meeting a motion was made to recommend to the Township Board that all zoning in AuTrain Township be dissolved for eighteen months. George Lucier voted yes, Rick Carr voted yes, Gary Porter voted no, Dale Bowen voted no, Bob Nelson voted no. WHEW! That would have been disasterous, just what a few low-lifes would have loved. We need order, not chaos.At the end of the meeting, Zoning Administrator Will Rogers got into a heated argument with a citizen. Before you know it Rogers turned his anger on me. He called me a Communist, a Nazi, a Facist, a liar and another word I can't write here. This is absolutely no way for a public official to conduct himself. Happy Holidays ...
